What is a CFL?
Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs) are much like the standard tube fluorescent you’ve seen in the past, the primary different is size. CFLs are much smaller. These smaller versions can directly replace incandescent bulbs. CFLs consume far less energy (between 5 to 25 watts on averge), and their color and brightness are comparable to standard incandescent bulbs.
Why sell Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFLs)?
It’s an environmentally friendly way to earn money for your school or organization and provide a product that saves real dollars for your supporters. Did you know CLFs use 75% less energy and produce 90% less heat! This savings is seen directly by your supporters and your community.
Why sell conservation shower heads?
Conserving water is a double Win! Approximately 50% of shower water is hot water, therefore by conserving more water, you’re heating less water. The result is a reduction in your water bill and energy bill. Using water conservation shower heads is the number one way to save water and energy!
What are the advantages of using CFL’s over incandescent bulbs?
- CFL’s last up to 10 times longer.
- CFL’s use about 25% of the energy.
- CFL’s produce 90% less heat, while producing more light per watt.
How much will the CFLs and the shower head cost through the fundraiser?
We offer three different watts for the CFL mini-sprials and a two different luxury Conservation Massage Showerheads. To maximize your schools or organizations profit the prices are fixed at $6.00 for the CFL (any watt) and $12 or $25 for the shower heads. Your school or organization earns 40% profit of all sales.
Why are CFL’s so expensive?
CFL’s last longer than a incandescent - the average life expectancy of a standard incandescent bulb is 750 hours, while a CFL is 10,000 hours. This means that you should buy at least 13 incandescent bulbs at one time to get the same lamp life as 1 CFL.
What is involved in placing our order?
At the end of the sales period simply compile the number of conservation products sold using the Tally Form provided to you by RBC staff. Then mail the Tally Form along with a check for the total minus your 40% profit. The products will be sent directly to you within a few weeks for distribution.
